Built into the heart of our Prospect and E-Prospect bikeshare bicycles, the IoT delivers an organic user experience as well backend fleet management.
Providing connectivity for effective fleet management, the IoT system is built with Cellular connectivity for data transfer, GPS for location tracking, Accelerometers for motion detection and communication with lock sensors.
The IoT provides positive feedback and confirmation of ride status to the rider, including docking, journey completion, GPS position and vehicle battery (in the case of e-bike).
The system also enables the operating group to monitor the bicycle security details remotely, such as when a bicycle has not been locked correctly, location of misplaced bicycles as well as allowing for maintenance and servicing prediction to reduce fleet downtime.
Using the provided app, the IoT also allows bike riders to communicate with the bike, giving them the ability to identify bikes located nearby, unlock bikes and report bike issues to the fleet operator.
