It is fair to say that we have "been doing 'retro' for 80 years". So events like the London Fixed Gear and Single Speed Society's (henceforth LFGSS) inaugural Tweed Run through the streets of London didn't seem so much a novelty ride but very much the right and proper thing to do. Starting from Bespoke tailors Huntsman's in Saville Row, the 22 mile ride took in the sights of the City and the river before ending for a well earned drink in Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. The turnout was impressive... at least a hundred riders resplendent in their colourful tweed outfits and those on their Pashley Guv'nors looked the business.
